Josef is an Electronics Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Sarjana Teknik) degree from Universitas Indonesia. He is a radio amateur with callsign of YD0ABH, mostly working on VHF and UHF and developing a LoRa based network for Internet of Things applications.

He did some geospatial data analysis with Fire Weather Index data on Google Earth Engine while working at Nusantara Earth Observation Network – Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT).

He is now a masters student in the Erasmus+ Joint Masters in Smart Systems Integrated Solutions (SSIs), studying Cyberphysical Systems and Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) in Aalto University, University of Southeastern Norway, and Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
